Virgil Glaspie Obituary

Virgil Dewain Glaspie, age 72, of Clayton, Georgia, passed away on August 5, 2020.

 

Virgil was born the son  of the late Virgil Melvin Glaspie and the late Florence Marie Morris on July 1, 1948. In his professional life he worked as a truck driver. Virgil enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed hunting with his family in Missouri. He loved his three dogs, and loved his family. He was a loving father, brother and son.

 

In addition to his parents, his loving wife, Georgiana Rago Glaspie, preceded him in death.

 

His survivors include his children, Mary Overholt (Mike), of Clayton, Georgia, Mandi Glaspie Davis (Ben), of Booneville, MS, Brandi Grissom, of Saltillo, MS; grandchildren, Tori Graham, Haley Carpenter, Haylee Leatherwood, James Graham, Zane Glaspie, Zada Davis, Zora Davis, Zoe Grissom, Sophie Grissom; his brothers and sisters, Janene Smith, of Kona, HI; Lance Glaspie (Sheila), of Schertz, TX, Mikel Glaspie (Becky), of Davenport, IA, Anita Kelley (Kenny), of Marceline, MO. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.

 

A private family service will be held with military honors to be presented.
