Rebecca Louise (Justus) Nix

Rebecca Louise Justus Nix, age 69, of Clayton, Georgia passed away on January 10, 2022.

Rebecca was born the daughter of the late T.C. Justus and Frances Welch Justus on May 31, 1952. Rebecca was a Christian and a member of the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Wife of 51 years to George Edwin “Ed” Nix, of the home.

In addition to her parents, two brothers, Donald Justus and Danny Justus preceded her in death.

Her survivors include her loving husband, Ed Nix; her two daughters, Angela Turner (Delwyn), of Lakemont and Melissa Shirey (Brooks), of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, one brother, Ricky Justus; one sister, Donna Phillips, of Toccoa, Georgia; three grandchildren, Creed Turner, Kaleb Turner, Brooklyn Shirey.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday January 12, 2022 at from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Beck Funeral Home in Clayton, Georgia.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday January 12, 2022 in the chapel of the Beck Funeral Home in Clayton, Georgia at 11:00 am with Rev. Madison McCracken officiating.

Committal will follow the service at the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Cemetery in Dillard, Georgia.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Rebecca’s memory to the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church P.O. Box 184 Dillard, Georgia 30537.
