Patricia Madge Welborn

Patricia Madge Welborn, age 76, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021.

Madge was born to the late J.D. Welborn, Jr. and the late Levada Hicks Welborn on December 20, 1944. She loved being with her family and friends and loved traveling. She graduated from Rabun County High School in 1963 and also North Georgia Technical College. She always loved the “Girls of 63”

In her professional life she was employed at Duvall Ford for many years, before moving on to become the Director of the Clayton Housing Authority.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, “Baby Girl Welborn”.

She is survived by her two sisters, Carolyn McCrackin (Frank), of Tiger and Lehyn Lifsey (Ray), of Gray; her nephew, Raymond Lifsey (Brandy); her nieces Kristen Spencer (Eddie) and Julie Dunson (Carl); ten great and four great-great nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm On Sunday June 6, 2021 at the Persimmon Community Cemetery.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday June 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Persimmon Community Cemetery with Rev. Madison McCrackin officiating.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Madge’s memory to the Persimmon Cemetery 2221 Persimmon Rd. Clayton, Georgia 30525.
