Joel "Joe" Charles Henry, Sr.

Joel Charles Henry, Sr. (Joe), age 65, of Tiger, Georgia passed away after a brief illness on May 22, 2021.

Joe was born the son of the late Roger Merriman Henry, Sr. and the late Agnes Smith Henry, on January 6, 1956.

Joe was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed the outdoors, beekeeping, spending time with family, and was a certified professional trainer and kickboxing instructor. He also spent several years coaching youth sports and volunteering as a scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America.

He is survived by his 3 loving children, Joel (Shanda) Henry, Jr., Leah Henry, Elizabeth Henry, and one precious granddaughter, Huntlee Henry.

The family will receive friends on Saturday May 29, 2021 at the Beck Funeral Home in Clayton from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 29, 2021 in the Chapel of the Beck Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mark Gerrells officiating.

A celebration of Joe’s life will follow the funeral service with a reception at the Barn 1853 Tugaloo Village Rd. Clarkesville, GA 30523.
