Lewis Ervin Free II, age 74 of Tiger, Georgia, passed away on November 21, 2021 due to complications from COVID-19. Ervin enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to fish and to camp. He always enjoyed driving out west exploring. He played football for Rabun County High School, was a Christian and a member of Blue Heights Baptist Church. Ervin served his country in the armed forces and was a Veteran of the US Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Ervin Free and Maudeen Henslee Free and his wife, Janice Speed Free.
His survivors include his son, Justin Lewis Free; his sister, Linda Wayne (Doug), of Tiger, GA; and special friend Nancy Dickerson, of Tiger, GA; nephew, Mack Wayne (Kelli), of Clayton, GA; great nephew, Nathan Wayne, of Augusta, GA; sister in laws, Sue Speed, of Dillard, GA, Linda Legg (Bob), of Asheville, NC; several other relatives also survive him, as well as his beloved Australian Shepherd, Skeeter.
The family will receive friends on Friday November 26, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Beck Funeral Home in Clayton, Georgia.
A funeral service will be held at Beck Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday November 27, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Tim Free and Mack Wayne officiating.
Burial will follow the service at the Blue Heights Baptist Church in Mountain City, Georgia.
